Caveat
Bamboo flooring, like that from many wood species, requires careful acclimatization in the Intermountain West with our low and fluctuating humidity. To minimize or avoid gapping and cracking related to shrinking be sure to follow Natural Cork instructions (provide link www.naturalcork.com/bamboo_install.html). Solid bamboo will likely benefit from acclimating here longer than the recommended period. Use a moisture meter to ensure moisture content is 9% or less. Make sure wood or concrete subfloor is dry and no more than 2% different than flooring. The warranty for bamboo like that for all wood flooring in the United States requires 30-50% average relative humidity, a difficult task to achieve consistently in this region. Mechanical humidification may exacerbate the problem if it simply cycles on with the heat.
