Past Consulting Clients & Projects

The following are past clients of EcoBuild's consulting services:

McStain Environmental Research House

Lafayette, Colorado

Helped to inspire a major Colorado Front Range production builder, McStain Enterprises to create a demonstration home to test "green" products. In collaboration with David Johnston of What's Working, then specified the products and provided pricing, performance and other supporting information for the house and to help McStain integrate environmental sensitivity into their work. (1994-1995). The house was built and opened to the public for several months. The experience contributed to additional McStain projects such as Greenley Park townhomes and the current Centerra development.

Truscott Redevelopment

Aspen Colorado

Specified materials and provided other background information for the City of Aspen's Truscott Redevelopment, a 100 unit affordable housing project to be built summer, 2001.

Burlingame Green Guidelines

Aspen, Colorado

Developed environmentally sound development guidelines as part of the team developing this 225 unit "greenfield" affordable housing project to be built in 2002.

Municipal Building Policy

Aspen, Colorado

Created a comprehensive set of policy recommendations for the City of Aspen and the surrounding region.

Mainstreet Commercial Buildings

Westminster, Colorado

Helped develop Continuum Partners green strategy for the construction of retail/office buildings that are part of the Bradburn Village development.

Land + Structure Private Lot Development

Aspen Colorado

Creating green guidelines and procedures for a 12 lot high end development on the outskirts of Aspen.

EcoVillage

Loudon County VA

Proposed a complete green product package with direct purchasing and sub-contractor identification for this 75 unit residential development.

Innovative Trade Association Program

Metro Denver, Colorado

Chaired the first Home Builders Association Environment Committee (Boulder Chapter) and helped to create the Metro Denver Green Builder Program and the subsequent Built Green Communities (development scale) program. This is now the country's largest voluntary effort to reduce the environmental impact of building with over 4,000 homes built under its guidelines (1993-2001).
